About us

De Heus a.s. is a Czech manufacturer of a complete range of feed mixtures, premixes, concentrates and feed specialities for farm animals. We are part of the international company De Heus Animal Nutrition. With an annual production of around 300,000 tonnes, we are the largest independent feed producer in the Czech Republic. Our customers are small and large farmers and cooperatives in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, to whom we deliver from our production plants in Marefy, near Bučovice, and in Běstovice, near Choceň. We provide farms with nutritional concepts that ensure maximum health and optimal performance of poultry, pigs, ruminants and fish. We offer farmers our advice and assistance in the livestock trade.

We also produce Energys horse feed. We offer Energys Hobby and Venkov & tradice (Countryside & Tradition) feeds for domestic livestock,  brands we sell through a wide network of distributors and dealers.

The founding of De Heus dates back to 1911, when the great-grandfather of the current owners established a company in Barneveld, the Netherlands, for the production and sale of feed materials. The company continued to grow and gain prominence in the Dutch market. At the end of the last century, the current fourth generation of the De Heus family began to expand abroad. Today, De Heus has more than 90 factories on four continents and almost 10,000 employees and is one of the world's top ten livestock feed manufacturers with a total annual production of around 12,000,000 tonnes.
